Wilderlands: A Biodiversity Net Gain Scheme restoring habitats, nurturing rare species and healing people.

The team at Wilderlands have been working to create a destination where nature and people can meet. Part of the Weald to Waves project, the site at Bell Lane is nestled in the heart of nature and will restore wildness, deepen human connection, and regenerate life for generations to come.

Wilderlands have been nurturing a fold of Highland cows are reintroducing beavers, a keystone species, and crafting a living mosaic of habitats, from wildflower meadows and grassland to rich scrub and woodland corridors and ponds and scrapes to encourage invertebrates and birds. As part of a much large regenerative agricultural project the scheme will support the other fantastic work the team is doing.

Wilderlands host retreats, away days, volunteer programs and nature-connection experiences that welcome people from all walks of life. The vision is rooted in creating spaces that spark wonder, healing, and a deep sense of belonging to nature and to each other.

By investing with Wilderlands, you’re not only meeting BNG requirements but also contributing to a living legacy of ecological restoration, education, and community empowerment.
